Clínica Microdental en Diario de Almería

Safety protocols have been maximized given the direct contact between doctor and patient in the clinic.

Recently, some media outlets such as Canal Sur Radio and Diario de Almería, covered the COVID-19 prevention measures we follow at Microdental Clinic.

Marathon workdays, extreme protective measures ranging from space reorganization to rigorous use of masks, instruments, safety distances, and reserving bathroom use for extreme necessity cases; form the radiography of the 'new normal' of healthcare professionals.

"When the morning concludes, we remove our uniform composed of a second line of waterproof gown that goes over traditional clinical attire, double gloves, double masks FFP2 and surgical, shield, cap, and shoe covers, that's when we become aware of the enormous tension accumulated by the severe conditions under which we must perform our work. It reminds me more of a NASA scene than a clinic, but we are also healthcare workers and we owe ourselves to our patients," assures Alejandra Sánchez, Dentist and manager at Microdental Clinic.

With enormous security measures and all precautions, the good course of de-escalation is allowing patients to return to the clinic, and since last May, Sánchez is gradually beginning to regain the pulse of her healthcare activity.
